John Child
Managing Partner Finance & Administration
Mr. John Child has played a pivotal role in the company's construction and real estate ventures for numerous years. With a hands-on approach, he has been working closely with our project managers, overseeing every aspect of our projects, from sales, budgeting, permitting, to the intricate details that make up a successful construction process. His prior experience as an Executive Director in equity derivative sales at Morgan Stanley provided him with a strong financial background, which he now applies to investment strategy, finance, accounting, and investor relations. In addition to his financial expertise, Mr. Child is a licensed real estate salesperson and title insurance producer, bringing a unique blend of financial acumen and construction industry insights to our team. He holds a BA in Accounting from Loyola University, further underlining his financial and strategic prowess within the construction and real estate sector.
Christian Pepe
Managing Partner Operations
Mr. Christian Pepe brings a lifetime of construction insight to his role at First Equity Homes. With a foundation rooted in family, he honed his construction expertise while working alongside his contractor father. This early introduction instilled a passion for the industry. Since 2009, Mr. Pepe has led First Equity with a primary focus on real estate acquisition, construction project management, and residential asset oversight. His journey began as the Director of Operations for First Equity Mortgage (FEM) in 2004, allowing him to develop a profound understanding of all facets of residential mortgage lending and underwriting guidelines, including FHA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac programs. Mr. Pepe holds a degree in psychology from Montclair State College, underlining his commitment to understanding and enhancing the human aspects of the construction and real estate world.
Greg Hellwig
Construction Manager
Mr. Hellwig is the construction manager for First Equity Homes focusing mainly on new construction and major renovation projects. Greg brings with him over 20 years of experience in all aspects of residential construction. Most recently Greg worked with G. Martin Builders as the on-site foreman and finish carpenter focusing mainly on high end multimillion dollar residential projects in Monmouth County.
Kelli Tanner
Administration
Ms. Tanner joined First Equity in 2009 and has over 8 years of experience as a professional in the mortgage and real estate industry, with a focus on loan servicing, accounting and real estate property management. Previously, Ms. Tanner served in administration in accounting with an integrated computer designer and software company.
David Najdzinowicz
Project Director
Mr. David Najdzinowicz is First Equity Homes’ dedicated Project Director with 22 years of professional real estate experience, he brings a wealth of expertise to every construction project. Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with builders, zoning authorities, and permit processes, becoming adept at navigating the intricacies of new construction. His comprehensive understanding of the real estate landscape equips him to expertly oversee and direct projects, ensuring their successful execution and delivery. David graduated from The College of New Jersey with a degree in business.
